In conjunction with Radio Free Asia, BenarNews and I led a high-profile project as a videographer, which required travel to New York City from Washington D.C. to interview the Malaysian Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad. The task was complex, requiring planning the car service, coordinate parking, and carrying over 50 pounds of equipment. Project complexity was compounded given the heightened security associated with the G20 Summit happening concurrently.
My responsibilities encompassed managing video equipment, securing parking, and ensuring equipment setup and maintenance. This involved coordinating the transportation with both the Editor and Chief and Managing Editor at BenarNews.
I set up a WhatsApp communication system for round-the-clock connectivity before the interview. I organized meetings with the camera team to ensure the equipment was in optimal condition and created a task sheet and schedule to ensure timely departure from Washington D.C. to New York City.
Three key strategies I implemented led to a successful video shoot with Mahathir Mohamad. The establishment of the WhatsApp group facilitated swift and responsible communication of last-minute changes to the Editor-in-Chief.
The equipment checklist coordinated with the camera team ensured no footage was misplaced or damaged during transit, and the task sheet ensured our team's punctuality.
As a result, we successfully captured and published the story the next day, acquiring high-quality footage and audio.

In 2018, in conjunction with Radio Free Asia while working as a multimedia specialist, BenarNews urgently required a videographer for a sudden news assignment—an exclusive interview with Indonesian Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu.
The opportunity, scheduled by the Indonesian Ambassador with less than 24 hours' notice, unfortunately coincided with a day when no videographer was available on our staff. The task contained two key components: questioning Ryamizard Ryacudu about Indonesian policy and capturing video footage of the interaction at the Indonesian Ambassador's residence.

I was the videographer for an interview with a Uyghur woman, who shared her story of abduction and trauma at the hands of the Chinese government.
This was an opportunity to film on location. Below is the final edited version of the story, created using After Effects.
